How crayons are made

Published by zlobe at 10:55 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Now that I have a young daughter, I am starting to rediscover the television show Sesame Street. Of course, it doesn’t seem as cool to me now as it did back when I was a kid. So I went to YouTube to find some of the classic segments that I remember. I ran across this great video with a kick-ass song to go with it. Have you ever wondered how crayons are made? This segment takes you inside the factory at Crayola (which are made locally in Easton, PA) to show you the ins and outs of a box of crayons. Let me just say that when I visited the “Crayola Factory” last year in Easton with my young cousins I felt like I’d been duped. It isn’t really the “factory” where they make the crayons, rather a kids’ coloring and activity center that had a few okay exhibits. But since I already knew how they made crayons (because of Sesame Street) it was a pretty big letdown. Enjoy!
